*Plans F and J also have an option called a high deductible plan F and a high deductible pan J. These high deductible plans pay the same benefits as plans F and J after one has paid a calendar year $1,790 deductible. Benefits from high deductible plans F and J will not begin until out-of-pocket expenses exceed $1,790. Out-of-pocket expenses for this deductible are expenses that would ordinarily be paid by the policy. These expenses include the Medicare deductibles for part A and Part B, but does not include the plans separate foreign travel emergency deductible.

Keep in mind that because Medicare supplement (or Medigap) plans are standardized there is no difference in coverage from company to company. Medicare supplements are generally purchased based on price.

The most common Medicare supplement plans purchased are the plans F, G or now J. These are generally considered full coverage plans because they pay for most of the coinsurance and deductibles which Medicare does not cover.

If you would like to discuss the difference in coverage between the various Medigap plans please contact one of our representatives at (800) 330-6595 or get a free customized quote by clicking on this Medigap insurance link.
